ForestDave Member. Morning all, I live out in the middle of a broadband slowpsot. The best I can get is 6Mbps, although Gigaclear Mbps is on the horizon.
In the meantime, as two of us are "working" at home, I need to get better Wi-Fi. I have tried to plug an Eero mesh system in and got precisely nowhere. I then want to plug the EEros in and then distribute throughout a large house and office shed complex.
Many thanks in advance Dave. J Administrator Staff member. ISPreview Team. This may help:. J said:. Click to expand Mark, that is absolutely superb, thanks. Really appreciate the time! If you're still on the same Sky account i. Have you tried asking AVM directly what they recommend? Rolandrat Casual Member. Thanks MarkJ and Rolandrat. The account pre-existed the switch to FTTC, but the username from the ADSL account is definitely different, I made a note of it before the switch, and the answer I got from Wireshark is totally different.
It may not display this or other websites correctly. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. Last edited: Oct 19, I'm also guessing that you can edit the text to change things not avaliable through the web interface and flash the file back to the router. Possibly to use with another ISP? If anyone can verify this it might be usefull to someone. This procedure did not work with my Sky broadband router. The router is fairly new as I just recently signed up for Sky recently. Any help?
I desperately need to use a different and better broadband router. Click to expand I have noticed that my method above only works if your router is not connected to the sky network when you save the config file.
I discovered this method before my Sky service 'went live' and although connected to the phone line at the time it had the red internet light instead of the green one.
I have not tried this but it might be worth pulling the phone cable from the socket and doing it again. That MAY fool the router into thinking it is connected to a line and that it needs to login - prompting the username and password to be brought up and so stored in it's config file.
This is all guesswork though and if anyone could confirm the results of my theory that would be good. I'd do it myself but I can't be arsed! Worked a treat Thanks indeed. No worries Has anyone tried this yet after the router has been sucessfully connected to the sky network and got the pw?
Does removing the phone cable work or the 9v battery trick required? Anyone could confirm this it would be helpful. And can't find the information about the Tooway modem that I have.
And no documentation in the box. I seem to only get a limited number of devices to connect upon a reboot, so as I said upthread, it is like musical chairs and devices get shut out from the network. Piss poor documentation and service by SkyDSL This user would like to thank jrspet for this useful post: My2pups. Sorry, but don't quite understand how to figure out the number of public IPs if my subnet mask ends in 0.
Thanks, fduvall. Actually addresses, from. This user would like to thank yacek for this useful post: My2pups. I will take a stab despite not being familiar with Apple stuff. Test, including re-powering all devices.
