Posted March 03, I don't know if they changed the installer, but the game works aaaaalmost :P out of the box on the two Windows 10 machines I installed it on. For some reason the shortcut on my desktop didn't do anything visibly at least so I started the game with the sacred2. After that the desktop shortcut starts the game normally. Don't forget my Rig runs on W8. Sacred 2 was visible within the Windows Taskmanager, but nothing else, so I shot it down there. Without any compatibility settings done, no other modifications, just run the vanilla installation from GOG Galaxy. So far no crashes, even after a couple of gameplaying hours in a row.

Really strange thing though, but well it works, at least for me right now. I'll see what it's like when I build a new W10 Playbox in a few years From what I hear, this patch is supported by official developers that worked on Sacred 2.

Simply turning these applications off before starting the game, will solve this issue. If the game is added to Razer Cortex software, the game may not start at all. Simply remove it from the game list in Razer Cortex. Oddly enough bout months ago when the Last time I played the game it was running finely. Letozeth [author] 12 Oct, pm. GenericGoodGuy 12 Oct, pm. Hey hey, I've went through most of the stuff you described, nothing worked. I was one of the unlucky bastards that managed to launch the game once, play for an hour or so, closed it.

Update - Hi Guys, I got it to work by changing compatibility mode to windows vista service pack 2 and ticking run as administrator. Thank you for all your help, still confused why it happened but oh well. Glad it works again, have fun! Am having a very similar issues, have played for about hours, recently the game goes through all the motions of launching but then shuts down to desktop, no error codes or issues indicated anythere.

Update: it does not appear to be an issue with the game that i am experiencing, i was able to run the game from the sacred2. Guess for not i will continue to use the exe file to launch. Final hopefully update, after discovering that for some reason I did not have steam fully installed on my system, I uninstalled all my games, removed the steam files and folders, restarted my system fully installed the steam program So theoretically should be good to go.
